No Crowds – Best Scuba Diving Experience

Located within the largest coral reef in the eastern hemisphere, the Bay Island of Roatan is consistently rated as a top Caribbean dive destination. Because of the island’s reputation as a diving hot spot, there are many diving opportunities — and almost as many dive resorts. Unfortunately many visitors to Roatan wind up in the tourist oriented West End of the island and never learn of the relatively untouched beauty available while staying and diving at Mango Creek Lodge.

When you dive with Mango Creek, you avoid the crowds. There are at least 12 dive sites all within minutes of our lodge, with seldom another lodge using them. Watch the marine life without worrying about other divers knocking your dive mask off your face. It is seldom we have more than six divers diving at Mango Creek, providing you the best opportunity of seeing the marine life all around without interference.

Roatan Island’s dive sites include spectacular walls, holes, and crevices that dot the magnificent reef system just minutes away from our dock. Hundreds of Caribbean fish and other water creatures populate our local waters: parrot fish, damselfish, tangs, puffers, jacks, rays, sharks, lobsters, and many more.

Following breakfast in the Mango Creek Lodge restaurant, a typical dive day includes two morning dives, followed by lunch at the lodge and an afternoon dive. If you wish you can exchange a day dive for a night dive.

Your diving stay 

Starting on the afternoon of your arrival, our dive instructors work with you to tailor dives to your desires and experience level.

In addition to diving, as you’re a guest of Mango Creek Lodge, throughout the week you have the freedom to relax around the grounds.  Feel free take out a kayak, sailboat, or go snorkeling straight from your cabana’s ladder. 

It’s all part of the world class relaxing for which Mango Creek Lodge is famous.

Dive Safety

Your dive safety is the highest priority at Mango Creek Lodge. During your dive, a qualified dive master or instructor is in the water with you at all times. We use the buddy system, conduct safety stops on every dive and include adequate intervals between dives. Our staff is trained in first aid and there is a local hyperbaric chamber.

Diving Packages and Day Rates

Packages includes three dives per day meals, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, accommodation based on double occupancy, tanks, belts and weights, airport transfers and taxes.  Equipment rental is available.  Visit our Diving Packages and Rates page.
